Poznan: Polish toilet paper

Here in Poland, every toilet I have seen so far has toilet paper that seems to be made by combining cardboard with sand paper. At least it seems very ecological, since the coloring makes it quite clear that the paper is recycled paper.

  1. Yeah, this is the worst type of toilet paper in Poland, and as you can guess - the cheapest... You will find it in toilets of every public institution, malls, universities, restaurants... But luckily, we also have much softer types (like those in Japan, for example), but of course they are more expensive ;)

    1. So far this type is the only thing I have seen, but yes it does seem cheap :-) And in the airplane flying here, we even had washlets, haha.

And I remember from my childhood (like 20 years ago XD) that when we collected 10 glass bottles and brought them to the shop they gave us 5 packs of that bad type toilet paper - and that was the only type of tp available that time :>

    3. In total, we found good toilet paper once (pizza place), and great toilet paper once (restaurant in Kórnik). The rest was... not great :-)

When I was a kid, we got cash for collecting cans and bottles. But we never bought toilet paper with that cash as far as I can recall. I think we rented VHS movies.

    1. My colleague thought it was so amazing that he took a few decimeters of this paper to bring with him to show his family back in Japan! :-)

Today we found soft and fairly nice toilet paper in a restaurant.
