Licorice

In northern Europe people eat licorice and salmiakki. In Japan, people think that is about the most disgusting taste you can imagine. That means that it is difficult to find shops that sell licorice in Japan. People presumably only use it as punishments in weird games. So I bought a bag of salty licorice and finished it quickly.

In Japan I once found a shop that sold Finish souvenirs that also had Finish salmiakki. The shop owner tried to convince me not to buy their salmiakki for about five minutes, since it is so disgusting and she thought I should not have to go through the trauma of eating something like that.

  1. Ha-ha-ha!!
