Salmiakki!
Today at lunch some friends from Sweden who are also here now gave me a box of candy from Sweden. It contained chocolate filled with licorice (or salmiakki as it is called in Finland). In Japan, no one can stand the taste of licorice, so it is not sold here. This means that if you ever find salty licorice in your hands, you become very happy.
It was an early birthday present (still two days to go) combined with a late omiyage (present from travels) I was told. I finished most of the huge carton already.
