Magic bar Surprise in Akasaka
If I chose not to sleep very much, I had time to go to a magic bar in Tokyo before the research meeting I was there for. Since it was Friday night, I figured that was an OK compromise, and visited the magic bar Surprise. Our work meetings are lately usually located near Ichigaya in Tokyo, and then Surprise, which is located in Akasaka, is very close.
They remembered me, and said that last time I was there I wore a weird t-shirt. Which they thought I did this time too.

Surprise again
Since almost everything in Tokyo seemed to be closed this evening, I ended up back at magic bar Surprise again. A guy showed up with a huge box of doughnuts and shared them with everyone. He also had tiny tai-yaki waffles.

Magic bar Surprise
The work and the dinner with the work related people all occurred near Akasaka. In Akasaka there is a magic bar called Surprise. So I stopped by there after work. One girl recognized me from a year or so ago (when I also had been working near Akasaka and stopped by there after work). Another guy recognized me too, since we are friends on Google+.
There was also another girl there, and she said it was her first day working as a magician. She showed me some card tricks and it looked a bit nerve wracking. She was excellent at shuffling cards quickly and using difficult shuffle techniques, though. She said she also works as a poker dealer.
