Las Vegas night view

Here are some photos of Las Vegas at night. It was very colorful.

Seven lanes of cars in each direction. Takes forever to cross the street on foot.

Night sights in Tokyo

On my way back to my hotel it rained. I passed a place selling Aston Martins, which was cool. I also saw the Tokyo Tower in the distance.

We also took the elevator up to the 60th floor, to see the night view. We got a cheaper price by showing our planetarium and aquarium tickets too. The elevator that takes you up is surprisingly fast, and surprisingly detailed in telling you how fast it is moving. 600 meters per minute sounds more impressive than 36 km per hour, though.

We walked around and looked at the Tokyo night view. You could see for instance the Tokyo Tower and the new Tokyo Sky Tree. On a good day you can see Mount Fuji, but it was a bit too cloudy/foggy/dark when we were there.

You could also borrow Halloween props and take photos in some Halloween gate. So I did that.

Sunset

The sun was already setting when we got out of the house.

After eating too much, we all took a walk with the dog. The idea was to catch the sunset, but we got out too late so the sun had pretty much already set. In July, the sun has already begun to set early. As early as 21:57, even! At least this far south.

When we reached the top, where the view is good, the sun was already gone.

The darkness of a Swedish summer night...

Ostracized

The main building, seen from my mountain hut.

While my parents, my brother and his girlfriend, and my friend all stayed in the main building I was told there was not room enough for me. So I ended up in a small hut on top of the mountain. I had a good view, but it was a bit lonely. And the toilets are all in the main building where everyone else slept...

The sky, seen through my window. The sun was setting at around 23:00. Swedish summer nights are very short.
