Kimonos, matcha, and ... Halloween sweets?

Today the tea ceremony club of the university was holding tea ceremonies next door to the school cafeteria. We walked in after lunch and got the matcha green tea served in beautiful bowls by cute girls in beautiful kimonos. During the tea ceremony you also get a small sweet thing to eat together with the fairly bitter tea.

While most people got white and pink traditional looking (cherry blossoms?) sweets, we for some reason got sweets that looked like Halloween pumpkins. They were made from Japanese sweet beans though, so it was a fairly strong culture clash in one little cake, haha.
