I bought a new pair of geta (Japanese traditional clogs). The place I buy my geta is great, and they make them while you wait. This means they can adjust the size to your feet and you avoid the common problem that your feet will hurt when you walk around in geta.
They also serve me tea, serve food, give me huge rebates, and do all kinds of things for me... So it always feels a bit awkward shopping there. They are just too friendly and it is hard to find a way to pay them as much as I would like to pay them.
