My life in Sapporo, Japan. Eating weird food, seeing weird clothes, meeting weird people, doing weird things.

Getting used to Japanese levels of crime
In Japan there is very little violent crime, and not much theft. This means that seeing things like this is pretty common. This is a table where four young girls had lunch. Then they decided to go to the second floor convenience store to buy desserts and were gone for 10 minutes or so. They left most of their stuff at their table, because otherwise they might have to go looking for a table for four, and the likelihood that someone steals all your expensive stuff while you are gone is low.
