Dutch dinner

We ended up in a place that may have been called "Bavarian beer" to have dinner tonight. It seemed nice, and there were quite a few locals eating and drinking there. The kitchen staff seemed to be a bit slow today, but our waitress worked very hard to compensate for that. She was great. As was the food.

My food.
I had something that was meat with red sauer kraut and mashed potatoes in wine sauce. Very good. We also had some bitter balls (a local specialty). The others had local beer and soup (and chose other main dishes too). Everything was good. The bread that came for free was excellent too.

Bitter balls.

Apparently the "English" spelling of ketchup in the Netherlands is "ketjapsauce".
