Non-moving sushi

Salmon.

Lightly grilled salmon.

The counter we sat at had lots of ingredients on display. Squid, egg, and "whelk" (at least that is what my dictionary tells me the English word for the sea snails is).

Soup
Yesterday I had dinner with a magician friend. We decided to go for sushi. I usually eat sushi at "kaiten sushi", cheap sushi bars where the sushi are moving around on a conveyor belt and you grab anything you want to eat when it passes by. This time we went to a place where the sushi is not moving around. That usually means it is more expensive, but the place we went to was not that expensive. The sushi was excellent, as was the soup.
