Sakura (cherry blossoms) in Fukuoka

After a few days in Sapporo it was time for me to go to Fukuoka for yet another project meeting. In Sapporo it was snowing so bad I thought my flight might get canceled. In Fukuoka they get something like 5 cm of snow per year, so it was of course not snowing. It was already spring in Fukuoka, and the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. More than a month earlier than the normal time in Sapporo.

A group of salary men still drinking under the cherry blossoms. Traditional Japanese "hanami" (flower watching).
